Well, it depends on your skin type and how long you'll be outside. Let's say you're fair, and you'll be outside for two hours. You could probably use an SPF 10 and still get some tan. But make sure you re-apply if you swim or sweat a lot. If you are med. skin type and are staying out that long, you could probably use an 8 and be ok. But, if you feel like you are getting too red, go higher. And always use A lot anyway when you put it on. GMA said you should use about 1/4 cup of lotion for your whole body, each time you apply. That's more than most of us use. Don't forget your face.

it would have to depend on ur skin colour.a tan person can do with a spf 15 but a fair person must be protected with a higher spf.about the tanning part, you still can get tan even with protection.

Hello............Skin cancer!
Sun less Tanning lotion is Best. And NO to sunscreen YES to
SunBlock!!!!!! sun SCREEN works like A screen door it still lets the light in thus HARMFUL sun rays. sun Block works like the actual door, blocks any sun. SUNLESS TANNING IT DOES WORK if you shop around. Nothing less Than 20 SPF. HAPPY TANNING!

Depends on how easily/quickly you tan. You're better off just sticking with at least SPF 15 and take it slowly.

I use SPF 15, but I usually don't get burnt. If I do, it's usually on my face and shoulders, so I just put it on there.
