Maybe. This particular period of history has the ability for the world to destroy itself. No one wins in a war. Property can be restored, but even a lifetime is not long enough to resolve grief over a lost loved one.

Since Muslims, Jews and Christians believe in the messiah, maybe praying for the messiah to come and bring lasting peace before the world destroys itself would be a win-win-win solution

1) The apostles thought they were, but they were wrong.

2) My Grandma thought so in the 1930s, but she was wrong.

3) My parents thought so in the 50s (Cold War, arms race, atomic bombs), but they were wrong.

4) In the 70s when I was in high school all the christians said that the Bible said the end would come within 1 generation (40 years) of Israel becoming a nation again (1947). they were all wrong.

5) Right before Y2K everyone thought it was coming, but they were all wrong.

Me - NO. I don't think anyone understands WTF Revelations is really talking about and if the world comes to and end I think it will be because of Nuclear War, Global Warming, or some other way that man makes the planet unable to support human life.

No man knows the hour or the day...... For the first time in history, all the players are those predicted in the Bible. This gives our generation hope that we will be the ones to see Jesus. I don't plan on changing my life, selling my belongings, or reacting in any way; my trust is in the Lord.

I personally don't... The Book of Revelation states that the destruction of Jerusalem will mark the end of the world. Right now, although not in Lebanon, Jerusalem is pretty close. But we may unfornately be on the brink of a World War (God forbid). Here's the situation.. We already know of the War in Lebanon (massacre is more like it), Israel maybe "winning" at this point but it will have future reprocussions..ergo terrorist attacks, counterstrikes by other countries. In Cuba, Fidel Castro is on the brink of death, if he dies, and America is tempted to "lend a hand" on a revolution against Communism, You've got North Korea, who is Communist, poised with their nuclear missles at the US. and lets not forget about Iraq in which many of our brave soldiers are needlessly losing their lives. (Fighting for freedom is one thing but fighting for freedom for another country that has nothing to do with you, is another thing)... And then theres "Good Ole"George Bush (who beat Gore And Kerry by miracle), who instead of working for world peace, is giving America more enemies and putting the average American at risk...Because if there is a nuclear strike on the U.S., you and I may not make it, but good ole Georgie will hide in his underground bunker and stike out his little "gopher" head when the dust clears.

One would need to believe that the Christian Bible is actually correct, and has been translated correctly before he/she would believe that we are living in the last days.

It must crush a Lebanese heart every time someone carelessly slings around Armageddon and blames it on their country. Come on now, there isn't even a mammoth army there. You think there is the most massive army ever there?
