Go to "contacts" on the top bar of your messenger window, then "contact details." There you will see the place to take out your real name and you can put in anything you want. I have what I want to be shown under "nickname."

You have to go into your account settings and change your name. You have to go thru actual yahoo and not just messenger.

ok once u are signed into your messenger , click on the messenger tab on the suitable and visit the contact information. on the bottom their should be a section to position on your yahoo identification. if that does no longer artwork attempt only going to the messenger internet web site.

No one can see your name. They only see your nickname.

Go to contact details, then erase your name and click "save and close".

edit profile. it will have something you like what do you want to be called and then get rid of it (not account name)
