If you want to surprise him, do something unusual. Don't just take him to dinner. Take him skydiving or something like that. When you're in the plane, right before you jump, say, "Do you want to marry me?" Then jump before he can answer. If he says no on the way down, just don't pull your chute. (Just kidding)
