Absokutely not. Remember how much hell the Jewish community raised when the Passion of the Christ came out? Look how well that turned out for Mr. Gibson. People should be less worried about some drunken slurs a normally very polite and kind individual made and more concerned about the fact that he was driving under the influence. This I cannot condone and I'm proud of him for recognizing there is a problem with that and that he is seeking rehabilitation. I'll forever be a fan of his.

I refuse to support someone who is anti-Semitic. Would you "continue to enjoy the acting and directing" of David Duke if he had such talents? Why is it that such blatant racism is glossed over when the subjects are Jews? Was anyone aware of the fact that in Seattle over the weekend, an extremist Muslim shot six Jewish women and killed one?

Or were you all too busy feeling sorry for the terrorists in Lebanon? Whether or not he realises he's made a mistake is not the point. Some child molesters, rapists, and killers realise that what they did was wrong. Would you exonerate them as well, just because you thought they knew they had made mistakes? Such sentiments and thoughts must be eliminated from a civilised world. The Holocaust happened because people let it happen. A man filled with hatred rose to power and killed 6 million Jews, not to mention a large number of gays, romani, russians, and others that were deemed unworthy.

Regardless of wether or not he realises he made a mistake, is the fact that he harbours such anti-Semitic sentiments.

No but - he should have just said he was drunk, apologized and let it go at that - not *** kissed and asked the Jews for forgiveness and/or help. What a crock of sh1t! I mean, how embarrassing is that? He looks so insincere doing that! I like Mel Gibson and think he is very, very talented but asking for help like that from the Jewish community makes him look like a wimpy douchebag.

You have to remember all the religious right who support him and may go see his other movies. The problem is the Jews in the studios who may not want to work with him now.

You know the old saying about casting the first stone. No, he's not ruined. He made a mistake and he didn't try to hide it. In the end I think it will be good for his career. What he did is just a small mistake compared to what some other men have done (look at Bill Clinton). He'll be fine. He's just a man, even though he thought he was "10-ft.-tall and bullet-proof" while he was drunk. Don't we all know somebody like that?

Mel Gibson is as crazy as Tom Cruise, Madonna and Michael Jackson. Celebs today are a bunch of crazy, super egotistical weirdos.

Mel Gibson makes money for people in Hollywood. If he can continue to do that, then he will be fine. He might be a good actor, but he is an idiot.

Possibly. I know I have a hard time enjoying any movie with Tom Cruise since he has acted so bizarre. It will be hard not to remember Gibson's anti-Semitic tirade as well as the dangerous act of driving drunk.

Other than the fact that Jews supposedly run the media and or Hollywood, no. People make mistakes. Deep down I'm sure alot of people feel the way he feels. I don't think it was biased what he said. It could simply be the truth or not the truth. He should have just kept it to himself, but of course it was hard cause he was drunk and angry.

I'm not sure whether he's ruined, but I doubt it. Not enough people care, and most people are stupid enough to believe that if he was drunk (and his BAC was only .12%, which isn't much more than a couple of beers), he doesn't believe the things he said.

Personally, for me, it reveals that the guy is an obnoxious, anti-semitic moron. I won't watch any of his movies. It won't be hard, they're not exactly masterpieces.
