You can't compare democracy and Islamic Fundamentalism. Democracy means that the people choose how the government will be run and who will run it. If a country chooses a government consisting of Islamic Fundamentalists and their country is then governed by those principles, then that is what the people want and what they think is best.

There is no comparison. Democracy is by will of people and it is for people. Where as Islamic fundamentalism is forced by some on the rest of people and it is to attain the needs of a selfish religion.

It's close but I'd say 1 is better.

The answer you are searching for can only be answered by you. Here in the good 'ole USA I think your answer would be, for the majority, democracy . And as for the Middle East, well you get the idea.

it depends on who you ask, and what they value. Me, I say to fail 10 times at democracy is more open, pure and actual than one islamic fundamentalistic regime based on supression

Christian fundamentalism and all its built in biases and untruths. Islamists are evil dogs and have no right to live, especially the babies. Killing children, well, it's war, what do you expect? but celebrating their deaths, well that's the way to go.
