Criminology is the study of crime. A criminologist is a person who studies the reasons, ways, and motives of a criminal.

It should be a requirement to take because if you want to become a trial lawyer, you will need to know these things about your client to know how to go about defending him/her.

Criminologist use many theories that have been created throughout history in trying to explain crimes by who, where and why. It is by the use of these theories that criminologiest strive to reduce crime.
