does anybody watch the young and the restless if so doesnt it seem like maybe they have different writers because the show seems a whole lot interesting there is more crazy stuff going on

I have been watching the Young and The Restless since 1978. I have loved all the twists and turns over the years. It does seem in the last year that alot of pretty wild stuff has been going on. They do have several new writers on staff so maybe that is the reason.

I don't know if they necessarily have different writers, they always do more with the younger characters during the summer when they get younger viewers - then they get hooked. However, there is a heck of a lot going on now. I wish the stuff with Brad would just all be over. Even though it's tough that a marriage is breaking up, I like seeing Nick and Phyllis together. They haven't showed a lot with Lauren and Michael lately. I don't like the Alex storyline. Dru has always been such a pain, so it's interesting to see her jealousy. The Victor stuff is puzzling - fine, if the man has epilepsy, but they shouldn't be doing all the strange stuff with his visions and junk.

I am a die hard Y & R fan. It is definitely interesting with all of its current twists and turns, but I am not sure I like where they are going with Victor, Neal, or Nick. I am, however, intrigued with the Bradley Carlton storyline. Where pray tell is little "Cricket". She's been absent for awhile lately, wander what trouble she’s getting into. I really wish they would give Paul Williams a successful love interest. He has been so, so unlucky in love. Anyway, I am a fan!

I love the Y & R. I am not very pleased about Victor. He always was a strong character. Nick has become so handsome, now that the story revovles around Phylis and Sharon. They have so many interesting stories going on at once. It keeps you interested and a great conversation piece with other fellow Y & R fans.

there is a new writer named Lynn Lathem (I think) and the style of the show is faster and more crazy. Gone are the days of dragging storyline but there are too many now to keep up with. I love YR and BB.

they do have different writers, and the show has taken a sharp turn...i can't say whether it's a sharp turn into the worse or the better. i still love the show, i just think they stretched some story lines a little far, like brad's identity and nick and phyllis.
