I love them but I don't think they'll do very well...

The scoring will go up and the defensive mentality will remain because that is what President of basketball operations Joe Dumars demands. I am sure Dumars made the correct move to have the Pistons remain a contender. Billups, R. Wallace, and Prince were all at least vote getters for the All-Defensive teams. Billups was on the second team while Prince and Wallace received votes. So they still have good defensive players. Mohammad shoots his free throws at 80% and he has a decent offensive game. I think the Pistons will still be a contender this year because they will be hungry to beat the Miami Heat in the playoffs.

They still have the components to make a run, but they're going to have an uphill battle with only Nazr to fill in for Ben. It's unfortunate that they traded away Darko (as weird as that sounds). In the short time he played with Orlando, he averaged over 2 blocks per game and shot over 50% from the field (although he didn't shoot that much). They could use that right now.

The thing that hurts the most about losing Ben is that they lost Ben to the rival Bulls. That will boost the Bulls while taking away from the Pistons. I definitely wouldn't count the Pistons out, but it's definitely going to be a lot tighter in the Eastern Conference.

Big Ben was a force, but not the driving force behind the Pistons. They'll need to become more conducive if they plan to continue to be a driving force in the NBA. No they wont be as good, but hopefully they wont become what we've seen so many times in the past.

They'll be OK. Wallace's numbers have slipped each of the past three seasons. Nazr Muhammed is a better inside scorer. They will still be among the best teams in the East.

it's going to be very tough for the pistons especially on rebounding and on the defensive end ... but i'm sure they will adjust and still be a force in the upcoming season ...

they wont make it passed the first round. i love the pistons but their team is crumbling from around them. Maybe if they wouldve drafted dwayne wade or carmelo anthony instead of darko milicic, they wouldve won it the last two years.
