My boyfriend's best friend has 2 adults. A boy and a girl named Mitch and Lauren. They were given to him as a present about a year ago. And in that time they have had four babies together. And he has not been able to get rid of a SINGLE one of them. SO I guess he technically has 6 chinchillas.
They mate for life and they mate VERY often. Mitch is AWESOME!
But Lauren is a *****. I have so many stories I could tell about those animals. :-)

Believe it or not, my main boyfriend in high school gave me one for my birthday....without asking my mom if I could have any pets, much less that one!! It was cute, but evil. It hated me, and would bite me given any opportunity. God forbid you let it out to play, because it would disappear under the furniture and you spent the rest of the day trying to catch it. Plus, it stunk! We finally found another family that wanted it and gave it away. It was very soft, though. Would've made some great earmuffs :)

I used to. There's nothing in the world cuter than a chincilla except a baby chinchilla.

i do, hes so cute, but you have to be careful they die very easily, need good temps. to survive, because they are originaly from the mountains. he also escapes alot!! but other than that chinchillas are wonderful pets to have!!

how big is ur town anyway no i dont have one but if i did i dont live in ur town because i live in a big town...u no the city so i dont no 95 percent of the ppl who live where i do.
