Don't listen to that other poster.. Dell has an awesome service department. If the system is under warranty, Dell will usually fix it within a day or two. You can always point out to he said she said about something breaking, but Dell still has an industry low record for failed parts. With that, I also agree you should upgrade the processor to a higher unit, but other then that, its a good product.

You would be better off with the pentium d 950 processor as the 900 series has 2 mb cache per core, so you would get 4 mb cache total instead of 2 mb and the price difference isnt that much, as for memory I would get 2 gb in 2 slots, 1 gb sticks

Dell is carefree and thier warranty along with service is good. For the normal user a Dell PC is all they need. That PC you have there will be decent depending on what you want to do with it. Will run office programs great, internet and all that good stuff. But, high end games on the other hand will be playable. You will have to turn down or off most of the eye candy. But, you should be able to at least play higher end games.

Eh, I'd rather build my own desktop. BTW, if you MUST purchase a system, don't buy a Dell... I don't trust HP that much either. In fact, I really don't trust anyone. Though I hear Cyberpower has some good deals these days, http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ if you must purchase a system, look towards them. It might be more expensive than Dell but it will be well worth the quality, I think Dell uses monkeys.
