How do you know what it feels like to have something stuck in your throat and can't get it out? I ask because I have Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease with Esophageal strictures and have often gotten food stuck in my esophagus. It's very painful. I wonder if you have experienced the same thing?

The strictures are scar tissue that narrows the esophagus and are caused by the long term effects of stomach acid backing up into the esophagus. If you have acid reflux disease, just taking the Nexium is not enough. You have to change your diet.

You MUST stop drinking coffee (both with and without caffeine), also soda pop, citrus juices, and tea. Also, you must not eat until you are stuffed or wear tight things around your waist. If you fill your stomach you increase the pressure of the acid to go into your esophagus, the same with tight things around your waist.

Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease can only be diagnosed by having an Endoscopy. That's where you are sedated and a tube is put down your esophagus and into your stomach so that a G.I.
doctor can see everything.

Since you still have the pain after being on Nexium for a month, your doctor should refer you to a Gastroenterologist and have this this test ordered for you.

I am happy your center assessments are well, however have you ever had a tilt desk experiment performed? Which assessments the reaction of your blood strain at the same time at the tilt desk. Also did the assessments incorporate a Holter track, which screens the cardiac recreation over a 24 hour interval. When does the soreness arise, after getting been sitting or mendacity down, or status for any period of time? and does your surgeon understand this. Has your surgeon made any ideas as to the best way to expand your blood strain, e.g expand fluid consumption, restrict espresso and alcohol. Ask your surgeon if the soreness your experiencing is related to the low blood strain. You will not be conscious low blood strain has been recognized as one of the signs of Fibromyalgia, (however no longer all Fibromyalgia patients have low blood strain) and with low blood strain it will purpose an abnormal center beat to be felt. I recognize a bit the way you think, as I have CFS and Fibromyalgia, and for me it explanations low blood strain every now and then and abnormal center beat, which will purpose soreness however I even have a center murmur. I desire your surgeon can aid kind matters out, and that you'll think a bit greater quickly.

That sounds like stress. I went to the hospital when I had a pain like that and that's what they told me. It only comes at night now.

It might be stress or overeating (eating late at night). Just guessing.
