Yes, there is no question but that he did and that he also had a raging drinking problem for many years. This is not new news; it came out long before he ran for President - back when he first ran for Governor of Texas. In fact it was quite a big joke among many people who are in their 40's and older who can remember the time when we scoffed at the notion that "anybody" could be President of the US because we knew that to be a lie. Then came Bush and we all had to eat our words because for the first time in history a former cocaine tootin drunk got to the White House. Even more hysterical was that he had such wide support by the moral conservatives of this country. Boy what desperate efforts we'll go to in order to press our interest. Truth of the matter is that based on his antics as a young man if Bush hadn't been elected President but instead applied for a job at the White House requiring a security clearance he most likely wouldn't have met the criteria and certainly wouldn't have gotten the job.

When asked if he ever used cocaine, Bush refused to answer.
When asked if he used cocaine in the past seven years, he said "No."
So if he's willing to give a definite answer about the last seven years, but won't answer the question about whether he's ever done it, what does that tell you? It tells you that he used cocaine 8 or more years ago.

I heard he still does. But that was from a liberal source. Should I believe him? That's how silly some of the garbage is that's being thrown around by the Bush Bashers.
George Bush will go down in history as one of the greatest president we have ever had. Bar none. Unlike his predecessor who is still trying to define what 'is' is.

I've heard he did. I've also heard he had problems with drinking before. Bill Clinton smoked weed. Thomas Jefferson and George Washington had slaves. I'm sure if people dig deep enough into ANYONES past they will find skeletons. After all when one becomes president there still Human. And Humans make mistakes.

I wouldn't swear to his cocaine use, but when we visited the White House last year we thought that several semi-trucks hauling powdered sugar had flipped over and spilled their loads in the West Wing.

I agree with the statement above saying prior to 8 years ago...he refused to answer a direct question about it. He was a wild kid in college..but most disturbing is the fact that he swore off "likker" (because of his wife, but there have been rumors of getting knocked off the wagon)...and that he has never sought treatment and he lives in a world of heavy drinking...you don't see him alot really...more lately...he has been reclusive...not a good sign.

Yes he did, but he asked God to forgive him and that made everything better. The problem is - it addled what few brain cells he had and made him a complete and total idiot!
