He speaks English well enough, he just doesn't understand the word "retirement". ;)

Right next to the Tikkanese to English section.

Anyway, how many languages can you speak? Try learning a second language from your 20s. I understand him just fine. Don't be a language snob.

Try "Hasek for Dummies" at Borders... I think it was over Ken Holland's head though...

maybe he needs to go to borders for one. he can find a book to translate czech to english at any bookstore. some foreigners that live here in america take years to learn english becuz it is a hard language to learn. maybe ken holland will buy him a gift certificate to a bookstore to buy him one.

I work with doctors that have been in this country longer than that and they are STILL hard to understand being here 30 years or more!

Try asking one of the doctors that works on his groin injuries. Or talk to the one he plans on seeing this year after a few games.

Be nice, after Ottawa he is a little confused. cause they speak french there. I think he has had a NHL career of people talking for him on his behalf so never had to learn the language. HI.

You don't need a dictionary. Just make sure you know when he says win, lose, injury, old, especially injury, you'll ear it a lot, and the rest are just gibberish.

Good luck!
