depends on the mood right? when I am in a fun mood and want to dance I like it loud. When I am mellow I prefer it soft.

i think your first question cannot be answered directly. There are loud music which is better than soft music, and there are also sotf music which are better than loud music.
On your second question, it depends on what mood i am into. If i want to relax, i'd listen to soft music. If i like to party, i'd listen to dance, pop, r&b, rock...etc. Music always reflect your moods at the same time it also reflects what your personality is.

It all depends on the song cause a great mellow song just doesn't the same if it's loud.... Although i think i listen to everything just a little too loud. i listen to pretty much everything.
