It would be nice to have more than just belief.
I dislike the way for example religion is based on belief. You get people refusing to do charity because someone told them that raffle tickets are lotteries. Why don't people think for themselves and do what they believe to be right not what they are told is right?

Religion has become some many spinoffs, it depends what version you are in as to what you believe. Even then some bits can be right and others IMHO daft.

So how do we get evidence of something more spiritual?

The question is...How do you prove something that could potentially exist, does exist? Why is it some people can have the experience and others have faith?

I think someone must have an idea on how it can be done (without involving Yvotte Fielding).

Honey, everything is based on beliefs. Some things we can prove, but most of them we can't. Evolution is based on belief... but that's just another religion. You can't prove paranormal... Because not everybody can get in touch with what others can... So it nobody else can relate to it, it can't be proved. Science is based on empirical evidence.. and that's it. But there are things beyond science... or they are science but none that we can perceive. So we're not the autonomous people we thought we were.
Animals have senses we don't have.. They just can't speak like we do... No matter how well we can measure light and sound, and...etc... we can only touch base with the material things.. The immaterial we don't have the equipment to "prove" ... All things left to the unnexplained, are in fact things we can't percevie with our five sensors. And sure, if you're too darn proud to say that certain things are a matter of chance and coincidence... well you have your explanation... For some people who are into more deep stuff, that's not enough. Nobody knows for sure how many dimensions are there... What makes one think he's got all the answers from Science??
Belief, or faith is the sixth sense. Through faith we believe that God created the earth.. and things make sense that way...
visit drdino.com... if you want reason to believe I have a thosand for you, if you don't... don't bother me... and don't insult my intelligence. I can always prove you have nothing to prove. I do believe that if you saw proof you still won't believe, am I right?

No body can prove the paranormal these days because of all of the skeptics, they turn down most evidence if not all, prove there isn't a paranormal, better yet prove religion to be 100% accurate...nobody can....however did we not believe electricity was not possible;unheard of...until now...The good news is more and more shows are on about paranormal, there are more horror movies with paranormal then before, investigators are more recognized and still growing..the unknown interests people just like religion;and just like religion we have our own opinions about it a lot like the paranormal...everyone has an opinion...and unfortunately we live by it through faith or science...in time something has got to give right.

Evidence is all around us that the paranormal world is real and does, in fact, exist, but we largely ignore it because 99.999999% of our waking experience is based in the material, physical world (even while asleep, although some spirits do visit loved ones during the dream state).

The strongest experience of the paranormal is in NDEs and OBEs, which provide tangible proof that can be later verified, and independently in many cases. Yes, NDEs can be triggered by stimulating near the Sylvian Fissue in the Cerebral Cortex, but that is beside the point. NDEs have a biological basis because the journey into the spiritual world actually begins (surprise) inside of us.

Assuming it's true and not just my imagination, I would say that you cannot 'prove' that it is true. You can either know or not know for yourself, but there is no actual proof.

Of course that goes in line with the studies and research into the field of paranormal activity in-so-much that a true psychic, or so they know themselves to be, would not consider their gift as paranormal but merely normal for them.

I know this sounds a bit out there, no pun intended, but it could be a psycosomatic response. There are people that have lifted cars off of someone during a crisis moment but could not do it again when in, what is considered, a normal state of mind.

So I'm not sure that one can prove anything as it pertains to paranormal because I'm not sure it's been proven that "paranormal" is an actual phenomenon (sp?) versus being normal.

See, I think you're going after the wrong end of this. I fully accept that you can't prove faith, and that that's what makes it faith. However, to then go the one step further to say that YOUR faith is any better, more correct, more important etc. than MY faith is stupid. Especially considering that it's all just that: faith. The real problem here is arrogance.
