Here's one solution: when you open a page, always look for this sign: "Printer Friendly." Click on that. "Printer version." Or that. Or "Print this page." In each case, your computer will burp, and suddenly the whole thing will be reduced and ready to print. When you poke the "print" button, the copy you will receive from your printer will look like someone at the newspaper office made you a specially printed version that fits perfectly on that blank paper you just ran through your printer. However, there is a catch. Some websites will not have the "printer friendly" option. And then you just have to take your chances, and what usually happens without the "Printer friendly" option is exactly what you have described above as the problem. I have only been dubbing with computers since this February, but I do know about always looking for that "Printer Friendly" sign. When you click on it, your problems are over. I hope someone else will give you an even better answer, but this one will help I think, at least, some. By the way, just so you know, when you use all capitals, IT IS LIKE SHOUTING AT PEOPLE. I used to do the all-capitals thing when I first logged onto the Internet, but people gently reminded me to use lower case because they could read it just fine. So these days, I compromise and use a writing style that is just like reading a letter. Have a great summer and I hope you avoid some of the heat that is bothering everybody. Sent to you from Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. 10:15 P.M. Tuesday evening here in the states... (I am 63 years old.)
