Yes, but I believe you have some "equal rights" groups to blame for a lot of it... the rest is up to the propaganda from a bigger problem.

The Romans persecuted the Jews. The Jewish religious elite rejected and crucified their Messiah.

Some Christians inappropriately persecuted the Jews (Inquisition)

Muslims persecuted Jews.

Hitler killed six million Jews as a pretext to establishing a Jewish state. The Holocaust was a tragedy, but ethnic cleansing still occurs on a daily basis. If the Serbs owned major media outlets, things would be different. If the Hutus and the Tutsis owned movie companies, things would be different. If the Palestinians owned movie companies, things would be vastly different.

The Jews have always been persecuted - at least until 1948 when they received their own nation.

Israel has nuclear weapons and receives billions from the US - no one can make anti-semitic statements anymore.

Talking about Israel's influence throughout the world does not equate to anti-semitism. The actions of ignorant and uneducated people contribute to anti-semitism. My personal opinion is that anti-semitism is no longer justified and serves as a pre-text to:

If you're not with Israel, you're with the terrorists (Hezbollah, Hamas, et al).

Not on the rise - it's always been there, but unfortunately the ugly truth comes out when celebs like you-know-who gets busted and he lets his true self be revealed (did you know his father is a famous Holocaust denier?)

Unfortunately, many people interpret criticism of Israel's military and government decisions to be anti-semitic, which isn't the same thing.

Not me. I dont know that many jews but the ones I worked for and worked and went to school with were nice enough. Normally I make it a point to say something derogatory about every group but for some reason I cant come up with anything about the chosen people. I tried the stereotypes but I didnt really think the jewish people I knew were exactly cheap. They were alright.

I don't know if it's on the rise as much as the events of the past three weeks has caused some increased sensitivity. Also, some who have never had a reason to speak out, are not speaking out.

Anti-semitism or Anti-Jewish?, both are on the rise, hardly suprising though.

policies, views,or actions that harm or discriminate against Jewish people.yes its on the rise as ,the real face of Israel is no different from everyone else face, the world is a bunch of killers these days,we justify and capitalise to suit our own selfish existence.Israel did not do the right thing ,and thats a fact. so talk, but what difference does my vote make,it makes me sick ,to be in opinion of any Jew right now.

When one calls any criticism of Israel 'anti-semitism', then YES IT IS! You guys (accusing us of 'anti-semitism' when we dare to differ) must stop playing 'mind games', we are not idiots! And we are getting tired of it.

Anytime people see civilians die as they are in Lebanon. It will tend to have ill affects. Those who are 100% against war will definitely have Ill feelings towards Israel. Myself personally I think Israel needs to defend itself but I also believe there fighting a war with No end.
