I got electricuted by my old busted t.v. The power switch fell off--don't ask me how--but me and my brother still managed to turn it-- we found a small button inside the hole where the missing switch was that we could press with one finger and would turn it on/off. It didn't do anything, but one day I turned it on while wearing a gold bracelet, and I got shocked! I heard this weird buzzing noise, and I felt shocks going through my hand up to my wrist. I stifled a scream and pulled my hand out and then the feeling was gone. My hand was kinda numb for a bit, then was back to normal.

Don't think this will help much for your course because i can't remember what the weather was like...sorry. But--I can tell you that we have carpetting in the livingroom, so it could have been caused by a combination of static friction and the t.v. circuit....

electrocution means you died from an electric shock, so you will not find anyone who has experienced that.

I have had a suvere electric shock

At first i did not know what was happening
The room seemed to by shaking from left to right about 90 degrees about 50 times a second. This is because my eye muscles were contracting 50 times a second as we have 50 hertz power in australia.

I regained control of my eyes and realised live wires had come out of the machine I was working on and were touching my hand.

I could not move the arm with the wires touching it, I knew if I grabbed the machine with my other hand I would die. The current was mainly going out one wire, through my hand, then back in to the other wire. If I grabbed the machine with my other hand, the current would go through my heart and kill me.

After about five seconds I gained enough muscle control to make a faint yell. The guy working with me two feet away then realised what was happening to me and pulled my sleeve, breaking my contact with the wires.

I had third degree burns on my hand which took 3 months to heal.

are you talking about lightning"the weather"if not, i have absorbed a lot of voltage. well, one time when I was 6 i was trying to make an extention cord out of a Game boy link cable. of course it hurt alot. I felt the shock just up my hand but it was kind of like when your hand falls asleep (the pins and neetles feeling) but you know how much it hurts when you shake it? well i might as well been smashing my hand with a hammer. the cuircuit breaker saved me. of course lower voltages dont travel as far up your arm. but one time, i was messing around with a 330V camera flash capacitor and i acidentaly touched a contact with my right index finger and the other with my left index finger. the voltage was enough that i could feel it all the way up both arms and a little trough my chest. the amprage was low enough that it did not stop my heart, but it still hurt alot. it seems that the higher amperages hurt more while higher votlages afect a larger area. one time i was working on a project that involved water. i had a homemade extention cord(go figure) that was made out of a grounded 14AWG cord (pluged into a GFI breaker) with two conduit boxes. one had a standard double outlet that you would find on a wall, the other had a light switch that you find in any home(they had metal face plates) my hands were very wet and i reached to turn the switch off and i was shocked from my left thumb to my left index finger. every time it happens it is just about the same. you get that tingling numbing feeling and it leaves you with your heart pounding and breathing hard. i was never realy hurt in any lasting way, but it certainly hurts
Spark plugs hurt realy bad because they are especialy powerfull(touch spark wire and engine block at same time and pull starting cord on a lawn mower.) stick lighter ignitors sting a bit but arnt that bad. it seems like if you are holding the electrodes tighter, it doesnt hurt as much because it gets a better conection and doesnt ark as much(causing less heat)

I have known 3 people who have survived being electrocuted,
but haven't personally experienced this.
