I understand the purpose of a Gay Pride parade in that it is effectivly a rebuttal to the stigma associated with homosexuality. But what is the purpose of a Straight Pride parade?

"The rebuttal of a deviant lifestyle, what else?"
Like you're some kind of saint? So is this in-fact just a gay-bashing event?

Gays wouldn't be a "special group" if right-wingers didn't make us into that. You don't have to "admit" to being straight and no one asks you dumbass questions for being straight.

It is to prove the point that NO ONE should be given special treatment just because of their sexual preference.
I was standing in line at the super market and glanced over the cover of the magazines. I noticed that one of the guys of a "boy band" was on the cover "coming out" about being gay. I DON'T CARE! He will still put his pants on the same way, sing his songs the same way, fall in love with someone. He would not have made the announcement if he was heterosexual. Can you please tell me why he is on the cover for THAT? Really, I don't get it.

Equal Rights.... if anyone gets a parade.. than everyone gets a parade... and we're all winners... and none of us will ever be able to lose a soft-ball game with dignity.

They make those? Well, in the case that they do, it is probably just a bunch of homophobes protesting what they protest, you know how they are. Or maybe it consists of a bunch of spitefuls, the kind of people who go "Women's rights? What about Men's rights? How come it's not racist if it's against white people? Huh?"
Seems pretty lame to me, though.
But I do love a parade...
The gay community just does them better!

Let them have their parade. Perhaps being straight is the only thing they have to show for themselves. — Congratulations, all of you! Well done!

they're a bunch of homophobic bastards that want to force heterosexuality on people when deep inside they don't want to be straight.

Sounds like an 'in your face' play by heterosexuals aimed at gays. Cool. Bout time.
