If your sexual orientation is already defined, then you could only really oblige yourself to be celibate. The longer you are celibate (and I mean YEARS) the more disinterested you can become in sexual relations - not to say that you wouldn't see some stranger pass you by and think "How very attractive!"

I'm going to try to give a fresh answer. It sounds like your main concern (in this question) is how you will be "considered"- how others will see you. With many people, you have no choice in this matter. They see you any way they want to. Other people will see you for what you show them. If you feel it is really in your nature to be non-sexual (asexual is something else) and you want to take yourself "off the market", you may find yourself explaining that to everyone you meet. Most people are very sexual and those who aren't sometimes secretly wish they were and it causes them problems. I'd recommend making the following deal with yourself: for the time being, there is no one in your life that you would like to have an intimate relationship with. Things could change later, or not. Let it be right when it's right and thank you for a good question.
Or maybe your question is about other people who force themselves to abstain from sex. They probably still have some sexual feelings or at least some inclinations. They don't want you to know. Having strong feelings and not talking about them is not my idea of a good plan, but I don't get to make the rules. You don't scare me because you are asking questions and showing that you can think. When people try to hide from their feelings, that kind of scares me.
It's a good question both ways...

you can't force asexuality unto yourself. It just something that's supposed to happen naturally. Why do you want to be asexual? Have you had bad relationships and as a result you have trust issues? You should not give up and make yourself into something that you're not.To answer your question no you would not be asexual since it was forced because you'd never really be able to let go of your feelings it still be there no matter how hard you try to convince yourself that you're asexual.

Recently there has been a group of people referring to themselves as "asexual", they define themselves as never having had the desire to be physically intimate with anyone. If you have had any physical desire or reaction towards another human being then you are not asexual. You may choose to be celibate or abstinent which means to refrain from sexual activity with any other human.

You can not force youself to be asexual. You are what you are. You can be gay and force yourself to abstain. You can be bisexual and force yourself to abstain. You can be heterosexual and force yourself to abstain. If you are asexual then you simply are not attracted to either sex and you can not have control over who you are attracted to , only what you chose to do about the attraction.

You wouldn't be asexual, because obviously you'd still have those feelings. They don't just disappear. You can convince yourself that they do, but they don't.

Actually, you would be considered celebate, a priest, or just stupid. Remember, every missed orgasm is an orgasm you will NEVER have...there is no going back to reclaim time. Not the brightest idea I have come across here...but then again, there have been some duzzies. Good luck

You should never force yourself to be something you are not. Are you saying that you dont like having sex, but you are forcing yourself too?
Dont give in to pressure, do what is right for you...
