I have a color photo of my son, which I'd like converted to a black and white photo BUT I'd like his eyes to remain blue in the photo. I know how to convert it to black and white, but I don't have the software to keep his eyes blue.
Does anyone have this software and could do this for me on one photo? I'd appreciate it. YOu can email me if you can.

It's pretty easy to do in Photoshop, I unfortunately can't volunteer to do it, as depending on the image it could take some time to get it right, to get color to look right with b&w can be tricky. You should be able to find someone on craigslist under creative serives posts that can do it fairly quick for you. I'm guessing about a half an hour to accomplish it. Me, I charge $40 an hour for work like this.

Don't do it with a marker - I read a previous post, not to disparage them, but it's hard to find the correct medium to color photographs if you aren't used to it. You will just end up screwing it up. Again , not trying to be disparaging, but it probably would not work.

If you don't get the desired results with software, try it the old school way.

Print the photo in black and white and use markers or paint to add color to the photo. I have done this a few times, and it turns out really cool. Water color paint seems to work well, and just regular washable markers do the trick too. I'm sure if you look around you can find some fancy acid free markers that are made for photos.

Good Luck. :)

I do a lot of scrapbooking and I have a set of markers specially made to "colorize" black and white photos. So not only could you keep his eyes blue, you could colorize just your son in the photo and leave everything else black and white. You can find them at any hobby store.

You should be able to use your Microsoft Paint program, Use the Dropper to pick up the color of the eyes off of the color photo... or you can try to cut and paste the eyes in.... several ways to go, but shouldnt be too difficult
