Pujols! Don't get me wrong Ryan Howard is a stud but Pujols is a career .330 hitter plus he has more stolen bags and he hit only 2 less homers than Howard this year with 100 lets at bats, and Howard is a career .284 hitter. Pujols is easily the better player.

Pujols, not even close. Did you also know that Pujols is 2 months younger than Howard? And that this is Pujols's sixth year in the majors, while Howard is only in his first full year? Howard played a lot of last year in Triple-A. That right there should tell you how awesome Pujols is. Pujols not only is a home run hitter, but he's a great hitter period. He will hit around .330 every year. Howard is a great talent. but he plays in Philadelphia, in a stadium that gives up a lot of home runs. His stats are inflated. Pujols all the way!!

well, pujols has been considered by many one of the best hitters EVER in the history of baseball, and if you need proof just look at his numbers in the beginning of the season: he went out in june with an injury and he was so far ahead of everyone else that 18 days later when he returned he still led the league in homers and rbi's. he would still be way ahead if he hadn't sustained that injury.
his batting average is currently 38 points higher than howard's, and he has struck out 29 times this season while howard has struck out 117 times...
i could keep going but i'm just going to end it here because although howard is a good ball player, pujols is just on an entirely different level.

Pujols has better career numbers. Ryan Howard has yet to prove himself over a long period of time. I'd say Pujols will have better numbers when all is said and done. Cards win series in 06.

Pujols is the best player in the game. Howard is good but Pujols is tops defensively, always leads the league in runs scored and has a good chance to win the triple crown someday.
