I believe your snake is fine. It is common for the underbelly to turn a pink or salmon color befor a shed. If in fact that coloration only occurs before the shed. If it doesnt return to normal color after the shed, I would seek veternarian help. I suggest soaking the snake in warm water with some IVORY soap. Sounds weird, but it works and wont harm it. As someone else suggested, be sure to check your temps. Nothing is worse than a cooked snake. Be sure to check the water temp also.(warm, not hot!) Good luck.

I know ball pythons bellies will turn pink before they shed. Maybe it's the same with carpet pythons? I would take the advice from the other folks. Rub some warm water on it to help loosen the skin up and if you have any below heat sources, check the temps of those.

just to be on the safe side i would ask a vet about it she should be fine my Ball pythons belly turns pink when she sheds but lately she has had problems shedding took her to a vet and he said that it might be a lack of proteine so make sure she is on a really good diet and what ever heat source u might have try some very low voltage heat lamps i have mine on timers

You're just noticing it now, but it's a perfectly normal process of ecdysis (the shedding process). It doesn't last too long, it will clear up and then they're skin will look normal before they shed. Burns usually occur on one section of their belly.

Most likely yes it's fine....but it might be a heat pad problem....do you have an under tank heater or heat rock?....these have been causeing belly irritations and burns. When on push away the bedding and put your hand on the glass to check the heat, if you can't hold your hand on it it is too hot...get a thermostate to lower the temp....good luck
