OKAY...I FEEL I MUST RESPOND TO "SMERVY', AND HIS OR HER ATTEMPT TO BELITTLE ME. I HAVE NOT BROKEN ANY RULES REGARDING THE USE OF LINKS. I BELIEVE YOU SHOULD GO AND READ THE GUIDELINES AGAIN.
IT DOES AMAZE ME THAT THE GUIDELINES CLEARLY STATE THAT PROPER GRAMMAR AND SPELLING SHOULD BE USED, AS WELL AS NO QUESTIONS LIKE "DO YOU LIKE MY AVATAR?", AND YOU SEE THAT SORT OF THING ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, YET YOU FEEL THE NEED TO SAY SOMETHING NEGATIVE TO ME, ABOUT A LEGITIMATE QUESTION, THAT BY THE WAY...YOU DID NOT ASWER, SO YOU GOT POINTS FOR WHAT REASON...EXACTLY?

I absolutely love Green Day...that song just sent chill up and down my spine....I felt pride and sadness and happiness...all rolled into one...Powerful song......

it was sayed that 9/11 was a wake up call for americans its showcasing the repercushens of that 1 act and the afects its having on are young peaple wake me up when september ends means he wishes it would all go back to the way it was befor when we didnt pay much atention to much more than are own lives and we where ignorent to the vilence and inhumanity of peaple so far away i liked the song and wish i could wake up and the war and everthing was all over too

I know Green Day has a political agenda and I'm not sure it comes out in this song.
BUT...if you separate the video from the audio you see a selfless man who is willing to give up everything he has for the love of his life and for his country.
War is hell, but it's necessary at times.
