Hi - I had a tummy tuck and hip liposuction done on July 11th (in Connecticut...not INDIA) and I have had a great experience.

NEITHER A TUMMY TUCK OR LIPOSUCTION ARE METHODS OF WEIGHT LOSS. They are both methods to help "remold" the body. A tummy tuck is really made for people that have loss elasticity in the abdomen skin due to multiple pregnancies, a multiple birth pregancy (I had twins), or a huge amount of weight loss (like gastric bypass.) I seriously had a sagging belly...even when I got back down to my pre-pregnancy weight of 130, people were asking me when I was "due" because I looked pregnant! I even use to be an aerobics teacher, so I was exercising, but NOTHING I COULD EVER DO WOULD get my stomach flat again...my skin was over- stretched beyond repair. So, I was a perfect candidate for a tummy tuck. The doctor only removed a TOTAL of 5 pounds between the tummy tuck and the lipo, but it has REMOLDED my body, and now when I lose weight, it will look like it! I feel great, and my stomach is FLAT.

And I did not think the pain or recovery was bad at all (though I am still technically not "fully" recovered. I think a full recovery is more like 5 or 6 weeks.)

Go see a plastic surgeon and talk to them. They can tell you if a tummy tuck is right for you. (If the "fat" on your belly is ABOVE your muscles, a tuck can make a difference.) Otherwise, they may recommend losing weight first.

If you have any more specific questions, please feel free to contact me! (Oh, and you may be able to FINANCE it through Capital One Health Care Finance like I did....look into that if you do decide to go forward with it!)

You will only lose as much weight with the surgery as the skin they remove and any fat they may lipo too, weighs. For most people this is only a couple of pounds.

A bigger question is whether or not it motivates you to continue to diet and exercise to shape up.

I am saving the money to have it done.

I also believe that lipo and tummy tucks and such were meant to correct figure flaws and not to be a substitute for exercise and diet. If you aren't near your goal weight, your expectations may be greater than the results you expect. What's more if you still have a lot more to lose, your body will continue to change and you may not like the result.

That's why it is best to be fit first, then have the doc fix the stuff exercise won't.

Anytime you may have a primary surgical procedure in which you cross beneath common anesthesia there are unique dangers worried. Ask your medical professional if you'll be able to learn the anesthesia consent earlier than you may have the surgical procedure and you'll be able to regularly difference your brain. My sister had a tummy tuck and died at the working desk of a pulmonary embolism (one of the vital dangers of primary surgical procedure). Occurences akin to those are infrequent, but when I have been you I could do tons of study earlier than going beneath the knife. Most plastic surgeons will deliver you a session at no cost. I myself have had 6 primary surgical procedures, (none of them beauty) and could certainly not have one until my existence was once threatened.

The cost of tummy tuck is very less in India.Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance or by NHS in UK.They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible.

As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.If you still havent got your surgery done, you are better off getting it done in India.

my cousin got her breast reduction/liposculpture/buttoc... lift surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise fore this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company
