It was weird looking at time magazine's top schools in America and noticing that most red states didn't come close.
Even in S.A.T testing most red states were way below average. Why are red states so dumb?
Is it inbreeding with other family members that degrade red state genes? Jeff Foxworthy said " If your family tree goes in a straight line, you might be a red neck".
Or is the old excuse of rebuilding schools after the cival war the reason for dumb red states?
If you ever listen to Bush he sounds like a crack head. What was it he said "fool me once then sha sha shame on you. Fool me twice ya ya you can't be fooled again".

Well, let's look at it this way. If you were to divide the states politically, you would have to divide them according to race as well. So, people in California are smarter than people in, say, South Carolina, right? California has an extremely high concentration of Mexicans (I know, I lived there!), while South Carolina has an extremely high concentration of African-Americans (lived there too).
Does this mean that Mexicans are smarter than African-Americans? Of course not! Both are equally intelligent though like Caucasians, they have their idiots.
Therefore, I believe we can conclude that the idea of "dumb red states" is really kind of stupid. My intelligence quotient will be 145 no matter WHERE I live, or how I vote. Same goes for everyone else.
Intelligence does not influence one's political persuasion, or vice versa.

I would seriously doubt that is true. A persons IQ is not as important as what they do with what they have. You can have an extremely high IQ, but only see the negative aspects of everything, and vice versa. The right attitude is far more important for a succesful life.
As far as Bush goes.... I don't approve of his clinton smirk.... but, did you ever really listen to what Clinton, Gore, Kerry, and the fat faced Ted Kennedy let come out of their mouths? They will change their position on issues to suit the crowd they are talking to, they flutter like leaves in the wind. Listen, really listen to Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.... they are totally racist. You need to hear their words, not look at their smirks and smiles.

I heard that too. I consider myself conservative but not republican. I score between 129-132 depending on the the I.Q. test taken. I know that it is true that colleges and universities are hotbeds of liberalism so it stands to reason that the most educated among us would also tend to lean to the left in our political thinking. It is also a fact that education increases overall I.Q. so I can believe that red states are less educated and have lower I.Q. scores overall. So what? It seems to me that your assumption, if true, only proves that both groups are influenced by their environment equally. The red staters are influenced by ma and pa (who according to you may also be their cousins) while the blue staters are influenced by their sociology professor. Big deal, welcome to humanity.
