Are precious metals ( Gold, Silver, Platinum, etc) be found in the mountain streams in the NY Adirondaks?

I don't ever recall any precious metal mining in the Adirondacks. The mining that did occur here included iron ore, garnet, and even diamonds (Herkimer). In other words, there was never a Gold Rush that drove people here. I'll keep my eyes peeled anyway for that big nugget.

Yes, but it won't be easy. The mountains and streams have been there a long time.

you will find them for sure, but in a minute quantities. it will not be commercial viable
