I have just started using thsi site and I must say I am NOT a conservative person when it come to sex but there are too many kids and teenagers here asking questions about sex and pregnancy and I must say they are recieving horrible advice...

Do you think Yahoo should allow this and bear responsibility for tha advice and mistakes these kids will make due to what they have read on this site ?

sorry about the spelling ..this is a question for adults..it has nothing to do with freedom of expression that can be done in an adult area . we are talking about sexual advice given to young children and bad advice .

I think that when the questions are legitimate requests for information and NOT aimed at just getting someone horny (and I report those) they SHOULD be on here.

Parents are responsible for monitoring what their kids do on and off the Internet. Yahoo is not supposed to replace a parent's job.

Considering the questions I see here by kids show how many are really, really ignorant of basic facts they NEED to know, I'm more than happy that they are asking someone, since they clearly cannot ask their folks.

I've seen at least 3 threads about pregnant girls under 13, and one with twins under 14. Had these girls been better educated, perhaps they wouldn't be committing the horrible atrocity of having babies as children.

If more parents were honest and open with sexual information, which ALL kids NEED, as well as having good discussions of values and how to handle the situations that crop up (like how to say "no"), then those kids wouldn't be here asking.

Factual sexual information is NOT something that should be hidden from kids. Erotic material is not allowed here and should NOT be where kids can see it. If you see erotic material, report it.

The advice here varies. Some is real crap, but most threads have a mix of both, and none is any worse than what they are getting on the street. Maybe they'll get lucky and get the facts here.

If parents do not care enough to watch what their kids are doing it is not Yahoo's responsibility to police their brats for them. To limit adults because other adults are too lazy to do their job is wrong. Yahoo does limit certain words but it does not take much to get around the barriers put up. There are some parents that expect the world to raise their children. Why should the innocent people of the world have to do the work. If and when You have children be sure and watch what they do . Never count on others to do what you should.

While I agree that there is too much sexual content on this site, yjou have the option of reporting the really vulgar stuff, However, asking Yahoo to ban or limit this stuff smacks of censorship and we have enough of that ."Anyway, you could find out what the porn sites are and refer them. But , you could answer with factual and sound advice if you wanted too. But be careful because you might not be talking to a kid. I leave them alone because kids these days can get all the info they want without using this site.

you say should Yahoo "allow this and bear responsibility", thats an assumption youre making. Not saying youre wrong or i disagree, but its an open forum for questions and answers.. if you start limiting things because You dont think its right, who knows how many other people will have their own opinions about who knows what .. inappropriate or wrong religious answers or medical answers or whatever. Id say its the nature of the beast and it would defeat the purpose of this to start limiting that kind of stuff.

I think certain subjects should be limited in what can be asked. If it's a kid looking for guidance on growing up stuff, that is one thing, but there are some posts, many by adults, that are waaaay to much for such a public site.

I have some trouble with the age thing also, and have asked a similar question. I hope that they can tell crappy advice from earnest advice.
I think there should be a way to know the age of the questioner.

No it shouldn't. If there are kids that are underage asking sex questions it is not our problem and we shouldn't suffer because of it. Maybe the parents of these childern should pay more attetion to their childern and watch what they are doing online And talk to their kids more about sex and things of a sexual nature. It is not our place to do so.

I guess as long as they don't report each other it will continue. I believe the youth today begin much too early, but they are bombarded with it from all venues whether it be fashion, television or music. I just move on to the next. If they are in politics I report them.

Absolutely, It's ridiculous what they let some people get away with, I posted a question in the preggo chat room asking if any moms wanted to chat and they sent me a violation notice. What's up with that? But yet they let other people get away with disgusting questions and comments.

no, but it should be monitered. many people abuse the fact that sime people actaually want to know what the h*ll a coindomn is or why sex hurts the first time. however, many people act plain dumb and simply abuse yahoo answers. THEY should be banned, not the sexual content.

***May God bless you through all the days if your life.
