I had my hysterectomy on the 21st of July I have this numbing feeling that is about 2 inches above my scar line that goes almost across my belly.. Is this normal? thank you

Yes it's normal. When they cut that area, it also cuts the nerves. Some sensation will come back, but not all.

I had a c-section about 1 year ago, same scar and surgery minus baby. It will be like that forever. When the doctor cuts through all of those nerves they don't ever grow back together. So don't worry about it. You might also get some feeling kind of like pinching in your abdomen, that's just the scar tissue forming.

Yeah its normal. I had mine done June 23rd. I was told by my OB/GYN that the numbness is where the nerves were cut and they are trying to heal themselves. You probably wont get that feeling back.

Oh yeah......I had 7 differen't abdominal surgeries in 5 years....I asked the doctor why he didn't just put a zipper in me! I had my last surgery about 11 years ago......still numb.........
