I tend to be a social conservative. I know he stands for those ideals but why does he annoy me so much? Is it me? He is so smug and self righteous.....Where does he get off?

I couldn't agree with you more about Glenn Beck. He is awesome! I like Bill O'Reilly values but he does come off as smug at times (although he is still infinitely better than the liberal media). I find that most commentators are so staunchly conservative or liberal that they are afraid to admit when their party is wrong. Glenn Beck, on the other, talks about right and wrong rather than right and left.

Bill O'Reilly tells it like it is, and a lot of people dislike that approach, he gets tried of people pu*sy footing around to get to the point, I don't think he is smug or self righteous, I am so sick of people being so politically correct, that is what pisses me off. It is his show and he dose not have to cater to any body, I am very Conservative I see him as a regular guy that asks down to earth questions, and expects honest answers from his guests, not some one that is going to give him the run around, or dodge the question all together.

PS.and who is Glenn Beck and where can I see him. I cannot recall that name.

I love Bill O'Reilly because even tho I disagree with him,
he is honest enough to give his opinions and positions
on various and sundry topics.

O'Reilly is pro death and I am pro life. There are other topics
where true conservative disagree with him but this is the main
one. Although his ratings are very high, he wonders why there
are not a lot higher and of course the abortion stance is one of
the reasons, but I don't think he really gets it yet.

yeah i dont like him either. im pretty moderate but this guy is something else. thing is tho he worked hard to get where he is and its obviously a show where he has a biased viewpoint on the topics (its not just the News - its his opinion), so thats all fine i guess, more power to him.
i have a bigger problem tho with the Fox news channel he's on having such a biased conservative viewpoint on the news itself. News should inform, not persuade.

Me !! But he makes a lot of money to be just as narrow minded and annoying as possible. Aren't all conservatives just a little smug and self righteous.but again that's their choice and their(no pun intended) right.....
I'm trying my best to be a nice liberal ,did I succeed...lol

Like so many other questions in this forum...your question is biased and is more of a personal statement.

I would have been more intelligent to ask. "Do you enjoy watching Bill O'Reilly, and why".

He's the definition of arrogance, he has some good views however some are just way too out of hand. He thinks hes always right, and ofcourse he's not.

You need to listen to the Savage Nation on the radio if you think he is self righteoius.

But it gets him ratings, people who hate him still watch him
