Try to ignore them and just focus on your job ''that's why your there''.If you can't if it's too much to bare ''leave'' there's plenty more jobs out there, but find another one first on your free time.

Working with a difficult person is indeed trying, to say the least. There are all kinds of reasons that the other person may be difficult, one of which may actually be the way that you are perceiving them. Are they really being difficult, or is it just the way I'm looking at it? Sometimes talking to co-workers can help with determining where the problem lies, with you or with the other person. You have to first ask yourself how they are being difficult and then go from there. One of the reasons people don't get along stems from basic personality differences that keep you from seeing eye to eye. Without knowing exactly why you consider the other person difficult, it is hard to help you with this.
In my work, I deal with many people who are difficult, so I've got some experience with this. I suggest finding some good reading material to help you sort through this. There are some good books on personality type, based on the Meyers-Briggs personality test that you may find useful. Another excellent book that I just finished reading that has a lot of good, down to earth advice for living and working with difficult people is, "Living Successfully with Screwed-Up People" by Elizabeth Brown.
Good luck and if you would like to discuss this further, please e-mail me.

It can be very difficult, especially if that person is your boss, or an employee that has been there a much longer time than you have!!! I rode the situation out, where the employee was there much longer than I was, something was finally said to her at evaluation time!!!! And she came out of the bosses office after and made a comment about it, but, she turned her attitude around. Now, she is nice to me, and suprisingly the other day gave me some cuttings to a plant. So, it goes to show you things can turn around!!!
