No. There is a very real reason for hunting.
Just because some don't like it or understand it is no reason to make it illegal.

Oh yeah it should.

And gathering.

Jeeeebus - at least the animals who are hunted get to 'live' a little.

They are not born / hatched into an Orwellian 'processing plant' where their feet never touch the ground, etc etc.

Where do you think meat comes from ?

It's the graphic nature of hunting and often a dislike for hunters and their presumed state of mind, etc.

More deer are hit by cars than die from hunting.

A very small-picture view is implied by your question.

No, I am not a hunter. I have never even touched a gun, or a bow, nor tried to nor succeeded in kiling any animal in any other manner. Nor am I pro-NRA or a military enthusiast.

I am just pointing out that 1. hunting and gathering are about all people did until maybe 10k years ago 2. hunting is like an airplane crash - it conjures up graphic images, but their actual percentages as causes of death are wayyy small.

No. Heres why: There was a ban on hunting deer in the States a few years back, and the population grew too big to be sustained by their environment, and then there was a huge disease outbreak, and the hunters had to volunteer to go and shoot all the deer that they werent allowed to shoot because of the ban, except now the deer were all sick and couldnt be used for food, which was a monstrous waste of a natural resource.
People are part of the ecosystem, we help keep the animal population at healthy levels. We shouldnt kill animals if we don't need them, but I think hunting is great! My brother in law supplies me with moose and deer, which is just as good, and usually not as fatty as beef, and I get it for free!

No, tinkerbell, hunting is about getting out in nature, hunting is about the sun, the leaves on the trees and seeing the game. Hunting does not necessarily mean killing everything that you see. Hunting is my heritage, my great grandfather, my grandfather and my father were all hunters and I have taught many kids the right way to hunt for the right reasons. If I do make a kill I do not waste it, it is brought home hand cleaned and eaten. It is better then a big mac trust me.

What kind of question is this??? No hunting should not be illegal and if you think yes, I would love to hear your explantion for the sudden rise in deer involved car accident during the mating season, it already rises enough because deer are running all over the place trying to get some, then you want all the deer that got shot to be out running around too??? Plus its a cheap way to fill your freezer and the meat is better for you because it has less fat, and it taste really good to if cooked right. Not to mention it keeps MANY kids out of trouble and gives them time to bond with their parents and develop a respect for nature and a good perspective on life and death, IF the parents are responsible hunters and practice safe and ethtical ways of hunting. Bottom line NO and im intrested to hear your input on your own question too

No if hunting was illegal the animials would just overtake the country. They mate just like we do,but they generally have a litter more than one.hunting keeps the population of animials down. There are limits on what you can kill for each particular season. That is there so the animials don't get compleatly wiped out.I love hunting I like being out in the woods complete silence nothing around but me,my rifle, and hopefully my supper.

no, because if hunting was illegal, then the animals would over populate, and then there would be disease and sickness going through them. They would fight over food, and there would be so many of them that they would have to fight for a place to live which would mean that even more wild animals would move into the cities and there would be a bigger danger of human attacks. More of them would get run over by traffic, and they would just die from over population. I do not think it is right to hunt for sport, but for food yes.

Absolutely not! I am a hunter and there is many laws for hunting too. For example, you just cant go any day and kill a deer if you wanted to. There is laws out there that gives the hunter the mouths and days of which you can go hunting for deer.

Hunting should be regulated because death of people and animals are the targets. People could be killed accidentally while animals are becoming scarce due to hunting.
