Well you no what from now on im going to say to anyone that calls me white that i aint white i am european american!Why do you think that everything that we say to u is rascist????? OK I'm not trying to get you fired up but......why are black people so snobby to white people, I'm sorry but some of the most racists people I've come across are black! As long as you keep asking the question you will keep it alive. It has nothing to do with color. In my book color just like beauty is skin deep. It really goes both ways. It's like this my husband was in the military he went into an office to talk with someone and the secretary was black. Well my husband made a comment about needing to talk to someone in the office and he couldn't remember the persons name but one was white and the other was black. Well that's what he said in which he was promptly told that he had mis-spoke and that the person was Afro-American. He meant nothing by it, was not being disrespectful yet was slammed down so hard by this secretary for being racist it was ridicules. You tell me, why it's OK for people who are black to call each other *******? When white people get slammed for calling you black. Most are not from Africa, in fact have never touched the ground of that country. We are all Americans and until you and every other racist person stops dividing the races by color then there will continue to be exactly what you're talking about. But... let's be honest here, it's on both sides.

The first staement was very shocking! And the person who agreed...Wow!
By the way I am black ,and I have never heard this before! Ijust thought maybe some whites were rude becaue they didn't want to include you.

I worked with this one girl who was white, she would make brownies,cookies,crafts, something for everyone we worked with. "Holly" offered or made everyone something except me and the other black girl, we would always have to remind her that she forgot us. It wasn't that she didn't know us we all worked together about 5 years very closely. When confronted we would point out she forgot us she'd apologize but gave you that fake I'm sorry! Sometimes she would even pretend by asking about your kid or something and not listen when you respond. Pictures she would show to everyone else but not "us". If we had to work together on an assignment she either did the whole thing herself, let you do it,or refuse to do something and she always got her way. One day I overheard her talking about how much she hated the other black girl and that put it into perspective for me. I told on her behavior once before only to be told I needed to be more aggressive when I hear conversations like that .I am no longer with this company any more.

Off the subject a bit, but don't you hate when someone calls you by another black persons name that they know by a white person and then they try to deny they calledyou their name because you were black? People lets just be kinder and more thoughtful to one another . Funny thing is I hardly experience this type of behavior fat the university I attend or from college educated whites.

I am not snobby to black people, if anything, I personally make sure to treat blacks very nice. I smile, and try to make short talk to them, as much as I do any other color.
I do often feel that some black people are holding something against whites because of what went on over 200 years ago.
It's unfair. Freedom has been around long enough for everyone to get along. Enough with this talk about race, lets just all get along.

Because many whites, including myself at times; because the minority of black seem to get offended and go off on them. Where I work, people play the race card all the time. Before anyone gets offended, I know there are plenty of decent people of all races. If everyone would just make an effort to understand each other instead of using their race as a crutch (this goes for everyone, whites included) we would get along a lot better. This is just my opinion, and I apologize for the treatment that you've received.

Some whites aren't snobby to blacks, at the same time some blacks ARE rude to whites. It's people's personality that determines that mess. If they're open-minded and not prejudiced, they'll be nice to all races. My white friends aren't snobby but some of the whites I've encountered are snobby towards me. But then again some of the blacks can be snobby to my white friends too or to random whites. All races have people who are and aren't snobby. That's THEIR fault and no one elses for being stuck-up little jackasses!!

My (white) daughter was raised in a friendly little town, and is a friendly open person. She recently moved to a big city and lives in a neighbourhood that is quite racially diverse. The black and east Indian folks in her building won't even look her in the eye, let alone speak to her. The non-white students at her university are the same.

Why do you suppose they're being snobby to her? Is it because they assume she is racist because she's white? Isn't that being racist??

I am not one of those you are talking about...I am white and my kids(2boys) are both bi-racial. I love black people but anyway try not to take things so personally and you may have a different outlook. If we really got **** fired up I could say why do black people make fun of white people but in reality most people in general do and say messed up **** a lot but whatever...right!?!!

You have snobby folks in all races, dear. You have light skinned blacks who are nasty to dark skinned blacks, and so on. Don't blame a whole race for some silly folks. I don't think that all white people are snobbish. I think that individual's either are ignorant or they are so miserable with themselves that the only way they can seem to make themselves feel better is to focus on others. However, I don't see this in just the Black race but with Jews, Hispanics, and other minority groups..................
