Legalizing marijuana and other narcotics would open floodgates for accidents adding to those caused by drinking liquor. This will encourage the youth to use drugs instead of being involve in sports and educational endeavors. On the other hand, if these can be used properly in medicine, it is the only advantage.

Legalization for the purpose of "helping" the sick..has been done. Pot.......well, its relatively harmless, if someone can figure out how to measure the strength. However, someone always figures out how to bend the rules, take it to the next level and ruins the law. So, dont think it will happen. Too many DUI's as it is. Imagine NUI's on top of it, or worse.

people smoke marijuana as often as people smoke cigarettes now. if it were legalized it would go into mass production and be sold everywhere, everyone would smoke it. everyone would be walking around high, there might be alot more car accidents too.
