My kids all ran low grade fevers <101, when teething. If you feel the gums, and a tooth is about to come in, you should feel a bump. They will drool a lot, and constantly put things or their fingers/hands in their mouth.

Give Infant's Tylenol - both for the fever and to alleviate the pain
Use baby Oragel and cool damp wash cloths to teeth on or use a teething ring.

Most doctors say that teething does not cause fever. My second baby always ran a fever when she was teething. I would take her to the doctor. He said that every baby is different and some DO run fevers-though slight. He also informed me that it was good to bring her in because teething increases the risk of ear infections. They drool a lot and it sometimes doesn't drain properly. Just make sure the fever doesn't get too high. Pay attention to her ears.

Kids do sometimes have a fever when teething, but it is always under 100, I would say give him or her something for the fever. And just keep checking making sure it doesn't get any higher. If it does and won't go down take the child to the E.R.

It would be good to call the baby's health care provider and ask. In my experience, fever means that there is an infection somewhere. It wouldn't hurt for the baby to have a quick check up to make sure that everything is OK.

My daughter would spike a fever of 102 before her teeth would come in - usually one or two days before the tooth broke through. See if the baby will take infant's Tynelol - if the fever doesn't break, call you dr. and see if you need to take the baby in to get a check-up.

yes. my little 9 month old gets diarrehea too when she teethes. try a frozen clean washcloth. give baby tylenol at night if teething bothers him or her . teething rings are also good but once they get teeth they aren't really recommended becuz they can be broken by the teeth biting them. every baby is different in getting teething symptoms. not every baby gets fevers. if the fever is longer than a day or two call your doctor becuz it can be something else.

Everytime my daughter got teeth in she would get real sick. She would start vomiting and had a high fever. The doctor always told us that those aren't side effects of teething, but we knew that it was. They told us we didn't need to call unless it was above 102.

all of the above plus there may be a little blood when the teeth finally break through, so don't let that freak you out too much- don't worry you'll both get through it ok
