Flea bomb the house for starters, the fleas can't really live very long in the house without a constant source of food, many of them will die out in a few weeks. Then you might be bothered by them from time to time but not as much. Having a cat with fleas even around is going to make the problem more of an issue, you should get some flea medication from your vet, that will cause the fleas to leave the cat and serously reduce the problem.

Bengal for fleas works great. Be sure and spray across the threshold as well to be sure that any fleas from outside or off the porch, etc. die quickly after coming into contact with the Bengal.

Let off bug bombs and stay out of the house for three hours. Follow directions carefully and keep the cat outside. If it got used to being in the house that will be the hard part. You could try bathing it with the original Dawn dishwashing soap. Works great on dogs.

flea bomb, and also take the cat for a flea dip at the groomer or vet. the problem will keep happening if you keep putting the cat outside, get the cat Sentinal tablets from the vet, its a de-flea medication
also , they will bite you , too. the itch is worse than mosquito bites.

use flea bombs and try to buy one that also kills the eggs. ( wal-mart )
regardless , fleabomb at least three times for a good job, 7 days apart. they will hatch about every 3 days.
plan to leave your home for two hours or so each time you use fleabombs. read the message on the can.

turn up your a/c they cant live in the cold. i also used advantage for dogs on my carpet by applying a bottle across the door threshhold (they go toward the heat source). there are also heat lamps that shine down on a yellow sticky pad. i suggest 2 per room if they are big rooms.
