What does "you hob" mean?

an asian man walking into walmart beside my mom and sister, almost in shochk, said 'You Hob" to them and then bent down and watched them walk away. What does that mean?

Maybe he couldn't speak English that well? What other insulting words that sound similar to "hob" can you think of? ;-)
