I'm male and 16, (homeschooled so it's not highschool or lack of sleep causing it). I get a lot of sleep, and bags under my eyes is not the problem, because there are none. I have no out door or food allergies, I am active, I hate junk food so I eat has healthy as I can, I don't have diabetes and I don't drink and party.

The problem I have is dark purpleness under each eye. They're not swollen, but it looks really bad, like I have two black eyes when I haven't been hit. This is something my father, uncles, and grandpa have also, but I want to know how I can get rid of it. Besides putting on makeup... and sleeping 20 hours a day, is there something that can help get rid of the darkness under each eye?

Go into the kitchen right now. Look at the knives. Get thinkin! No, no. Actually its probably genetic and you're stuck with it for the rest of your life. Think of something cool you could say about them. And worst case scenario, yell at everyone on your dad's side of the family to make you feel better.

I have a neighbor with dark around his eyes. He has kidney problems. I would see a doctor just in case. It probably isn't any thing to worry about but it won't hurt to check with a Dr. Have you searched on the Internet?

I would go to a makeup counter like Clinique or Estee Lauder and ask them for concealer. They can find one that's just the right color for you. Good luck!

Little arteries in your undereye area are popping causing black and purple-ish-ness. See your doctor.

Well by the sound of it it's genetic, I've never heard of this before... But I'm also no doctor.
