There is not enough information here to actually answer the question. In the U.S. it all depends on the type of job you are looking at doing.
Some jobs require no special education and a high school drop out can take those jobs.
Other jobs will require a high school diploma or GED
Other jobs require a certificate, associates degree, bachelor's degree, Master's, or Doctorate. So it all depends on the type of job.
For a high school diploma it is usually Kindergarten through 12 grade.
For an associates degree, usually about 64 college credits (semester hours)
For a bachelor's degree, it is usually 120 semester hours (college credits, not actual classroom time)
For a Master's degree it is usually 36-80 semester hours past the Bachelor's and it all depends on the degree.
I have no clue on the doctorate.

How much education you get is a personal choice you have to make. I see people applying for jobs with just a high school diploma, some have their associate, and some have a college degree.
For some jobs, you dont need a degree or an education, but it is common knowledge, that higher paying jobs, with higher prestige do require at least a bachelor degree.
Education is a great assett to have, if you have the means and the drive, might as well get it, you will never be sorry. For some jobs, it doesnt matter what your degree is in, but the mere fact that you have one, will get you more money, so you can use it as a bargaining tool too.

In the US you can drop out when your 16, so you don't even have to get your highschool diploma, much less your Masters of Doctorate

It depends on your goal. Some jobs only require a high school diploma. A few don't even require that. Most professional jobs like some level of college degree.

you should probably get your masters to put you ahead of all the bachelor degrees... masters degrees jobs are in high demand, the professional job market is starting to shift in that direction... doctorate is excessive and expensive right now

You don't have to go that far. You don't even have to finish high school. But, in genral, the more education you complete, the higher your salary.
