3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Ok, I think that I can help you out. Ditch foods with excess sugars and salts. Examples are soda, pizza, candy-- any form of junkfood. Start eating fish-- it'll lower your blood pressure like crazy. Start running everyday for an hour. If you do this, your blood pressure will lower significantly. Good luck.

Think Zinc!
If your high B/P is due to chemical buildup (like cadmium) Zinc will lower it and pretty quickly. I saw a difference in 24 hours. Capsules of 15 mcg 3 x a day might do the trick. It's usually about $5.00 a bottle or so.
Also check link out for other helpful ideas. Omega 3s (Flax, fish oil) CoQ10 and Magnesium are also good strategies.

Eat more whole grains, cheerios really do help. Eat natural sugars (honey, agave etc). Try to use other things to season your food instead of salt. Etc. You sound like you're already active you just have to eat less sodium and more things that promote a healthy heart such as: celery, cold water fish, broccoli, dandelion, whole grain oats, black beans, berries and low fat dairy.
