I have Windows Media Player, but it's evil and won't open for some reason... I also have iTunes, Winamp, and Nero... I'm just not the best at this kind of thing, and wasn't sure how the best way would be to go about doing it. Thanks in advance for your help :o)

You can use iTunes to rip your CD. Just run iTunes and insert the CD into your drive - it should ask if you want to add the CD to your library.
Keep in mind that music files are BIG. I can pretty much guarantee you that if you zip up a whole album's worth, it will bounce when you try to e-mail it. You'll need to send them one or two songs at a time.
And there's no real point in zipping the files. MP3s and other music files are already compressed, so zipping them doesn't make them much - if any - smaller.

open the CD by going to my computer, and double clicking the Cd. if it doesnt open, right click on it, and select open. go to your desktop and right click on the desktop, and select "new folder". call it the album name of the Cd. go to the actual CD folder again. press ctrl A, then ctrl C. go to the new folder, and inside the folder, right click on the white space, and select paste. go to winzip and zip all these files into a zip folder, and send it to your friend.
