i already had a percula clownfish and a damsel before i got anothre percula and starfish

Changing the tank around does help stop any territorial behavior, but percula clown fish aren't very aggressive just get young ones. The aggressive fish in your tank will be the damsel.

Clowns are a type of damsel and are inheritantly aggressive and territorial. They will be especially prone to attacking fish of the same kind or similar shape. Damsels are know to attack just about anything no matter how big. This one apparantly feels the starfish is a threat too. Some are just more aggressive than others.

asking fish questions that delve into the world of fish much further than bettas and goldfish are better left for fish forums (fishindex.com, aquariacentral.com,etc.)
there are a few aquarists on yahoo answers who know what they are doing but most of those are just taking a break from a real fish forum.
I personaly cant answer your question becouse I have never kept a clownfish or a starfish.
I hope somebody else can help you but if not i seriously suggest a fish forum, fishindex is the best IMO.

Rearrange all the rocks & things that are in the tank. Then all the fish will think they are in a new home. I've done this and they all act differently. Was it the existing clown that started chasing the new clown?

They probably arent that right by a new tank and put the Perucula Clownfish in that mew tlk or bowl, which you good luck with your fish.

If have to put the clowns in together as pairs, if you don't one will attack the other. If you did a little reading on clowns you would know this. You can't just stick anything in there because you feel like it.
