Tear it up and replace with vinyl tile (low budget) or ceramic tile (big budget).
Otherwise, never serve red sauce or red wine.

HAHAHAHAHA. I'm not laughing at you I'm laughing with you. I too have a house that has carpet. But the only places it has it are the kitchen and bathroom. I find it hilarious that people are so against this. But I would recommend you do replace the carpet in the kitchen with something much less WHITE. The carpet in my house is Green.
FYI living room and downstairs BR hardwood, very nice but COLD in winter. Everything upstairs Very old linoleum or just contact paper.

Turn around and leave, I'm in the wrong house......Okay, now that i have had my fun..
Why would anyone put carpet in a kitchen..let alone white? Only in a hollywood home for people who don't really cook...
Personally, I would have it replaced with wood, tile or ANYTHING other than carpet

I'm going to assume it's a rental, cause if it wasn't, you wouldn't be asking, you'd be ripping it off the floor strand by strand in a psychotic kinda manner, cause God knows I would be.
First of all, meet my best friend Clorox. His little sister White Vinegar is also a formidable ally for a white carpet.
If you don't have a carpet cleaner, get one, or find someone who has one and doesn't matter you using it twice a week. Vaccuum regularly, don't let stains set (enter Vinegar) and if a stain does set, invite Clorox for the party. Nothing gets non-set stains out better than a mix of vinegar, hot water and dish soap.
My suggestion, call up your landlord and inform him that he's having it removed on Saturday, and then tell him that it's a lucky coincidence you are able to be out of the house that day, all day, while it's being done.
If he laughs at you, kick him in the shins. And then again for me.

Maybe try to buy a new that is dark in color carpet so you can avoid visible stains on the carpet. Or dont let anyone or anything in unless they really have to enter.

I'll get rid of it. White should never be the color of a carpet. For Pete's sake, people step on it dammit!! And in the kitchen none less!
Who arranged your house's interior??

Put a runner or another HUGE throw rug down to *accent* (protect and mask stains) That way you can protect your white carpet and remove the *accent* carpet whenever you want to clean or to say hi to your still pristine floor underneath.

Get take-out every night.
Two places carpet absolutely does not belong: kitchens and bathrooms.

No pets, no eating in the kitchen, you should maybe get rid of it?
Water spilt on carpet takes aeons to dry...
I think that you should just get normal floor instead of carpet... :S

You could:
-rip it out and get harwood floors
-move
-put lots of rugs in kitchen
-sue the person who installed the carpet and have them analized for insanity
-buy a steam cleaner and use it constantly
