Good God, would some of you read Michael Parenti's "Superpatriotism"? It's really easy for a group to call the one dissenting person a coward. Too bad they've all had lobotomies and are unable to bear the truth. This was not about bringing democracy anywhere, it's about oil and it always has been.

I believe Rep. Jack Murtha is a Democrat.
People from BOTH sides of the political aisle want troops out of Iraq. Support for the war is falling every time they come out with a new poll. It's wrong. We've screwed up. We need to quickly fix the country and leave.
After the American Revolution, I don't believe the French held our hands. They helped us win the fight, went home, and sent us a statue about 100 years later.

I think you will find your key if you read about the Vietnam war. If the United States pulled their troops out now what do you think would happen in Iraq. Do you really think all of the soldiers that lost friends there would thank you. Think again they want to see this through to the end. Even if it means putting their life on the line because they are doing this in this foreign land to protect those that they love at home. Would you rather they was fighting terrorists in your backyard? If the USA pulled out of that country we would have every terrorist group imaginable in this country. It wouldn't be Iraqi children dieing then it would be American children, moms and dads. Are people really losing their focus that much that they don't know this? Hasn't anyone read the news about the Iranian president getting ready to send out his suicide bombers. What do you suppose are in those bombs? Just your conventional run of the mill blow yourself up bomb? Oh and his main targets are Israel and the evil United States of America. There are more reasons to keep troops there than bring them home. Stop using a birds eye view and try seeing the larger picture.

because, in order for the countries in this planet to resolve a conflict and remain at peace, we need war. i no, they are dying, but discouraging them is not going to do any good. we can only have peace until a conflict is resolved-mainly a war. there are too many stupid liberals in this country who are going away from the original ideas the forefathers of this country had. id write more, but im out of time.
