the best footballer for this year's world cup is Zinedine Zidane. He will always remember a legend, the Maestro. I thought Fabio Cannarvaro was ok, b/c he was doing his job of being the captain. But, I would say that players that stand out should be consider as one of the best: lots of players from Germany, such as Philipp Lahm, Podolski, Miro Klose (even though he shined in WC 2006, but I just absolutely loved his headers, they were mostly unstoppable), Bastian Schweinsteiger, etc. Of course, there's the Portugal team: Cristiano Ronaldo, Ricardo, etc. Spanish team: Fernando Torres and others. The Ukrainian team have LOTS of potentials. And the two outstanding African teams... many are old men, but they played well, earning their recognitions. I'm going off topic... I am done.

There were a lot of players that shone for me at this World Cup such as Fabio Cannavaro, Maxi Rodriguez, Phillip Lahm, Joe Cole, Lukas Podolski, Miroslav Klose, Franck Ribery and some others.

but the real STAR of the show was Gigi Buffon, the whole time!
