who should i pick up (if anyone)
who should i drop and why

I'm thinking that Peavy would be the guy to drop if i were to pick anyone up.

I've got two closers.. in my league i think that is all i really need. I'm about to be in first place after this week.

be sure to give me some good explanations please.

Damn!!! get Jer. Weaver right now!!! You can get rid of a batter or something but Weaver needs to be on your team! I wouldn't drop Peavy either

Bedard and Weaver are two very good starting pitchers worth picking up if you are looking to dump Jake Peavy. Bedard is having arguably the best year of his career. And Weaver is putting up Rookie of the Year numbers. Not much to explain on those choices.

Erik Bedard: 12-6 with a 3.87 ERA
Jered Weaver: 7-0 with a 1.51 ERA

Numbers for Peavy:

Jake Peavy: 5-10 with a 5.01 ERA

I would drop Peavy. He is having a sub-par year. You could pick up Weaver. He is having a really good year for a rookie, but I don't know how he will stand up in the 2nd half. The sleeper would be Lidle. Going to the Yanks sometimes makes players perform better. Look at Aaron Small and Shaun Chacon last year.

Drop J. Peavy and pick up Jer. Weaver. Drop F. Hernandez and pick up Jo. Johnson.
Dude, I love your league!!!!

I'd rather have Putz than either of the 2 closers you already have.

You defintiely need to add Jered Weaver if you're going to add one. I would not drop Peavey - that's crazy. I know he hasn't had a great year, but he's capable of k'n 10 every time out.

Do you have to drop one of your existing pitchers? Is there a position bench player you can drop instead?

If you have to drop a pitcher, make it Harang. I would drop either of your closers to pick up JJ Putz.

I'd pick up Jered Weaver. He's hot right now. As for Peavy, I'd bench him until he gets his act in order

I picked up Putz 2 months ago and he now has 21 or 22 saves. Forget Guardado.
