Gays and lesbians are more visible in society than they once were. A gay bar was RARE 30 years ago, and in those days you couldn't even say the word homosexual on TV, or in most newspapers! So virtually everyone was in the closet.
Today our world is much more accepting. Totally accepting? No way! But much more than it was. So more kids are willing to come out and see what happens. When I was in high school a long long time ago, a kid who was known to be gay would have zero friends. Even other gay guys would avoid him to keep from being discovered themselves. Today, every kid has a gay friend or two. We did then too, but we didn't know it, or at least not for sure! Or if we did know, it was because we had done something with him, and we kept our mouth shut!

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Is English your second language? Homosexuality is the new fashion. Kids are choosing to be different and be rebelling in this way just like all kids rebel against authority. Unfortunately, this rebellious choice will destroy their lives, unlike wearing long hair, beards, piercings, etc.

No different than it has ever been...Kids today are just a lot more honest, refuse to live in the box that you want to build for them. Sorry, but ... We are here and we are not going away...get used to it! And, if you really don't like gays, move to a Muslim country.

I am not so sure that it is that there are more gays or that society doesn't see it as taboo as it once was. Parents tend to critisize because of the generation they grew up in. Parents should let their children be who they want to be.

It has become socially acceptable to be gay. Almost "chic" to say you are gay, bi or trans. It is acceptable to live on what used to be the edge of society. There are people lying to our children saying it is ok, acceptable and you cant help being gay, bi or trans....our society is dying and it has become acceptable

I have a gay sister, and we have always known she WAS gay. I think, kids these days think it's cool...really. Look how "honest" they are on tv programs.....saying how they "openly" go to sex parties? Give me a break

PLEASE LEARN TO SPELL OR USE SPELL CHECK
It is not that more kids are comng out , it's that they are more educated about their own feelings and no longer think they're crazy. Now thay can confide in someone or call a hotline to talk.
