Exotic pets store? Try online. Just type in "buy mongoose" or something and see what comes up. Make sure you're getting a baby mongoose though, if you buy one when it's older (as with any pet) it will be much harder to domesticate and it may bite. Also make sure you do A LOT of reading up on it beforehand. You don't want to get it and then not be sure how or what to feed it or what type of environment it needs to live in, or anything like that.

That's all I've been able to find so far. I'm not sure where you live, but there's a good possibility that you could find one at an exotic animal fair (we have one about 4 times a year here in Ohio, so you might have to do some searching to find one around you but it gives you access to many breeders).
Make sure that if you do find a place to get one however, that you have whatever kind of permit you may need (you probably will need one, but how hard it will be to get it depends mostly on the state). Breeders are often willing to help you out with this, so be sure to ask questions.

Petsmart would probably consider special ordering it if you whined enough or asked for the clerk's supervisor. You that adage: the customer always comes first.
