When I was in junior high I went to a predominately white school, surrounded by blonde hair blue eyed chicks who teased the "big" lips and "big" butt but now those same chicks are paying big money to get the exact look. Why is that!!!!

They teased you because they were jealous or you didn't fit in. Either way you shouldn't listen to the fat woman with the blue tank top ... how can anyone say "I wouldn't want to be you" without knowing someone?? Sounds like a crazy old coot who should stick to bingo and leave the internet to sane people.

Yes it is a cultural thing. Society determines what is "sexy" and the standard of sex appeal is set by Hollywood and the media. Just look at how many hollywood stars have gotten their lips injected with collegan for that sexy pouty look.
In the 1950's larger bodied women were considered sexy then the 60's &70's brought about the super thin aneroxic look. Now the trend has gotten away from the super skinny Barbie doll look and women are looking a little more full bodied and healthy again.

Who cares why... the ones who are trying to change their appearance must have issues. You should get past the teasing that happened to you, because clearly these girls were mean and pathetic and you are so much better than they are. Good for you for sticking through an uncomfortable situation. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right? I bet you've gained a lot of inner strength and confidence from being the odd one out, and since they all looked alike, now they are scrambling or at a loss to find what truly makes them wonderful.... whereas you've learned that life lesson early in life while they are now feeling inadequate.

I think it is a lot more than wanting big lips and butt. I think the advertising media has sold them a bill of rotten goods and in order to play politically correct, they have to pretend to be someone they are not.

It's a self image and greed thing, fashion. People want to do what's popular, and will spend their last penny to get it if they are so vain and desperate.What as in one day sees a season and is out again.

well i wouldnt pay anything to have bigger lips and like an idiot if i had the money id get my *** made smaller since i made it big all by myself . believe me i dont want to be you. however i hope you are really happy being you.

Girl... I don't know. I guess they are insecure with who they are. I think people should learn to love themselves and quit mutilating their bodies. It, in my opinion, is very satanic to do that, unless you have a major mutation.
